Self-Love & all that.
One
more blog that starts with being grateful to readers who remind me to write. I
can never thank you all enough. You guys are amazing. 😀😉
The
time I initially took to blogging, it used to make me wonder why bloggers don’t
write frequently.!?
But
as they say, “You won’t know the real
deal unless you deal with it in real.”
That
is what I understand now, when people remind me that I haven’t written for a
while. Because when you get caught up in the grind, You simply get caught into
it. There hardly remains any way out.
There
are times, when you feel good about (ACTUALLY) falling sick and staying at home
for a while. (I genuinely feel we need to fall sick once in a while to atleast
let our bodies rest. Not encouraging unhealthy habits here, but just for the sake
of calming our minds and resting our bodies)
All
the self- love articles and quotes that I have been reading for years, have
finally started making sense to me now. There
is no worthy gift that you can give yourself than taking care of your ownself,
your minds and your well-being. The more you start focusing on yourself , the
more things start falling in place.
Our
minds remain constantly distracted with one or the other thing. Be it the glam
outfit some influencer wore or the fancy restaurant someone dined at or thousands
of thoughts to lead you to chaos. Leaving too less or almost no time to look at
yourself and your own happiness.
Jotting
down few things that you can start practicing and implementing into your lives,
If at all you ever feel getting caught up in the grind.
1)
Cut of toxic people and habits-
First and foremost thing to do on the list.
Probably the most difficult one too. But
once this is done, it clears off major negative space in your lives. Mark
people who never encourage you on doing good, the ones who never compliment how
muchever you excel, the ones who will only remember you when they need
something, the ones who pretend to be your friends but take undue advantage of
your goodness, the ones who never really check up on you unless you are going
to be of help to them.
Think,
Analyse, Slowly & steadily distance yourself from them.
2)
Be shameless-
Letting
go of certain things, people and habits needs you to be a bit shameless. Old
things might have been close to your heart but remember they weren’t as good
for your mind. And that is why you choose to let them go, in the first place.
So do not worry about what others will say.
3)
Talk to yourself –
Talking
to yourself is considered as a definite sign of Intelligence.
Simply
DO more of what makes you Intelligent!
4)
Find what you love-
In
the constant rush of working lives, waiting for weekends and dreading Mondays,
find something that you love to do. Something that brings you joy and inner
peace. It could be anything such as a forgotten hobby, things you used to love
before you took up your job, something you have always dreamt of doing but
could not; start doing it now. Remember, there’s always time to START off.
5)
Get off social networks-
One
damn thing that surely EATS up our time and we don’t even realise how. Not only
that, but also makes us crib about how bad and boring our lives are when all we
do is compare them with people on the screen of our phones. What we often
forget is, nobody updates their bad days and low phase on social networks. So
lets not get drown into the whirlwind that these social sites choose to show
us.
You
could do yourself a favour and switch off from social networks for atleast few
days. Trust me, you will not only be left with more time at your disposal but
would also find yourself at peace.
No
wonder, I am still in the trial phase of these. But I have always been a person
who tries to keep improving my ownself.
Afterall, you have be the first person whom you fall in love with every single
day.
Make sure it’s the best version of
YOU.
👌👌
